Graduation ceremony has been conducted for the first 264 drug surrenderers who have successfully completed their 24 sessions spiritual counselling under the chaplaincy of the Association of Christian Churches in Villasis and local government’s community-based rehabilitation programs and activities. Drug surrenderers received their certificate at the Villasis Public Auditorium on Friday, April 28 2017.

Last February 2017, LGU Villasis launched its Aksyon ng Barangay Konseho Kontra Droga (ABAKADA) Program in support to President Duterte's program against illegal drugs. This is a program of Mayor Nato and the local government unit in partnership with the non-government organizations aiming to eradicate illegal drugs in the municipality. ABAKADA served as an aide to drug surrenderers as they have undergone spiritual counselling with faith-based organizations and other activities.

During the ceremony, there were life testimonies by drug surrenderers from different barangays; Samuel Ermita from Labit, Ryan Viray from Bacag, Fred Belmoro from Unzad and Dick Estrada from Poblacion Zone II.

The graduation is not the end but rather the start of their new life as they are now spiritually and socially transformed.

The ceremony was graced by the Cluster Leader of DILG 5th and 6th district of Pangasinan, Rogelio Quitola; the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council and MASA-MASID members; Association of Christian Churches in Villasis; the PNP of Villasis;  and the guest of honor and speaker Ramie P. Gader who shared his life changing testimony to the drug surrenderers.
