"Kayang-kaya kung sama-sama."

This is the famous line of Mayor Nonato S. Abrenica everytime he talks to and with people especially during significant events and gatherings. And once again, we have seen and witnessed this happening when the Don Ramon E. Costales Memorial National High School, Senior High School Department conducted the Culminating Program of their 80-hour Work Immersion on February 28, 2019 at the DRECMNHS Social Hall, which was participated in by the stakeholders.

The Grade 12 students, teachers and School Administrators led by Dr. Rowena Lea G. Moreno successfully conducted the Work Immersion Culminating Program showcasing the experiences, portfolios, diaries and work immersion highlights of the Grade 12 students. This was, of course, participated in by the very generous and accommodating private Work Immersion Partners from Villasis, Rosales and Urdaneta City. Mayor Nonato Abrenica, together with the different department heads and representatives also graced the event. The Local Government of Villasis, through the dynamic leadership of Mayor Abrenica, sponsored the morning and afternoon snacks of the students who were assigned at the LGU during their 80-hour Work Immersion on November 2018 - February 2019. This was not only true to the DRECMNHS students but to all of the other Secondary School students of Villasis.

Dr. Rowena Lea G. Moreno, School Principal IV reiterated the importance of having this work immersion so that as early as now, our students could plan and think on what course they are going to pursue, so that there won't be a job or course mismatch later on. Mr. Ariel M. Tugare, OIC-SHS Asst. Principal welcomed the guests and visitors to the affair. Students per strand shared their experiences and reflections, while the Immersion Supervisors also shared their impressions and feedbacks. One of the immersion supervisors emphasized the importance of having a good and positive attitude in the workplace and even in our everyday lives. Also present during the event were: Dr. Emeterio Soniega, EPS, SHS Coordinator, who congratulated the work immersion students on their completion; the Grade 12 teachers and the School Heads of DRECMNHS.

The Work Immersion outputs of the students will be displayed and are open for viewing until March 1, 2019 at the Social Hall. As per DepEd Order 30, series of 2017, Work Immersion is one of the requirements for graduation. It generally aims to expose and familiarize our learners with work-related environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their competence.
