To support and sustain corn production in Villasis, the Municipal Agriculture Office, headed by Mr. Dionisio Cariño, facilitated the distribution of free 200 bags pf Hybrid Corn Seeds and 200 bags of Urea Fertilizer to local corn farmers for the wet season planting of 2025.
The initiative benefitted farmers from nine (9) different farmers associations under the Corn Cluster of Villasis, who have signified their intent to plant corn this season.
Mayor Dita Abrenica expressed her full support for the program, recognizing the vital role of farmers in the growth and stability of the local economy. “Our farmers are the backbone of Villasis. Their hard work feeds our families. That’s why we continue to provide the assistance they need—especially during planting seasons.” Mayor Abrenica stated.
