Series of library orientation and Tech4ED training was conducted at Villasis Municipal Library Tech4ED Center for junior and senior high school students of Don Ramon E. Costales Memorial National High.

The orientation aimed to increase awareness of the students of the various services of the library. The Tech4ED project and various segments was also introduced directing on thee-Eduskills segment which aims to deliver e-Learning on demand to address the education divide. The segment contains Alternative Learning System (ALS) which delivers interactive lessons to help out-of-school youth and adults in attaining a high school diploma; Learning English Application for Pinoys (LEAP) which improves English communication skills in preparation for IT-BPM industry; Skills Training that would enable the platform user to acquire skills and competences to start a small business or get employments; Valued Character Formation that enable people to uphold Traditional Values and how to behave as a “Netizen”; Rotary e-Library &Startbooks Online which contains hundreds of thousands of digitized science and technology resources in various formats (text and video/audio) placed in specially design “pods” set in a user‐friendly interface (Tech4ED Brochure).

With the initiative of the library personnel through Dr. Rowena Lea G, Moreno, Principal IV and Mrs. Rowena Joy B. Chan, Curriculum Chairman and Teacher-Librarian of DRECMNHS, the orientation to thousands of students of the said school was very successful. After learning of the many free services that the students could avail, the library turned into a busy place where students could comfortably read, do their projects and assignments and use the computer for their research works
