Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office conducted an “Orientation-Seminar on Pag-asa Youth Association” to Barangay Officials and out-of-school youths on October 24, 2017 at the Municipal Health Office facilitated by the Local Social Welfare Officer, Mrs. Haidee R. Suyat.
The seminar aims to create opportunities for self-expression and attainment of proper attitudes, to engage the youth in various activities that will promote their social and economic development and to strengthen basic social, moral and cultural values.
During the seminar, the facilitator gave a brief background of Pag-asa Youth Associations and tackled the Program Components and Core Interventions. Mr. Richard A. Dizon, President of Pag-asa Youth Association National Level, inspired the participants through the achievements and accomplishments of the association.
The seminar was also graced by Mayor Nato as he gave an inspirational message and the Local Youth Development Vice Chairman, Mr. Kenneth Sison gave his welcome remarks.
The local government unit provided some training materials during the seminar.
