The newly-elected municipal officials of Villasis, Pangasinan, who will lead the town and its people for the next three years (2022-2025) took their oath before Honorable Junius F. Dalaten, the Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 50 on June 28, 2022, at the Villasis Public Auditorium.
Rev. Fr. Numeriano A. Gabot Jr., Parish Priest of Saint Anthony Abbot Parish, Rev. Fr. Randy Licudo of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, and Pastor Ronnie Realin, President of the Association of Christian Churches of Villasis, simultaneously recited the Interfaith Prayer.
The newly-elected officials were accompanied to the stage by their respective family members when they took their oath. After which, they delivered their messages expressing their gratitude to their families and supporters. They also promised to support the programs and administration of Mayor Abrenica.
Re-elected Vice Mayor Cheryll Z. Tan also thanked her supporters for their trust and support. “Rest assured po na ang inyong sagradong boto ay masusuklian ng pure at genuine public service that you all deserve. We will work harder and do more of what is expected of us.”
Meanwhile, in his 6th term (2001-2010; 2016-present), Mayor Nato requested some department heads to present the accomplishments of their respective departments since the Abrenica Administration started in 2001. The audience applauded them as they presented the accomplishments, awards, and recognition of their departments.
Mayor Nato, in his speech, laid down his programs and projects for the next three years. All were focused towards him as he said, “Gusto kong mag-iwan ng ala-ala. Somebody who is compassionate and selfless leader, a righteous and just person, walang favoritism. Gusto kong matandaan ninyo ako na matino at hindi corrupt. May nagsabi na mapalad ang Villasis dahil may Mayor Nato sila, pero ang sabi ko naman, mas mapalad ako dahil ako ay pinagpalang maging kasangkapan ng Panginoon upang gumawa ng kabutihan sa ating mahal na bayan ng Villasis.”
He urged everyone to join him in prayer. “Samahan ninyo ako sa panalangin na bigyan ang bayan natin ng isang leader na magpapatuloy po sa mga magaganda nating ginawa.” He ended up his message enjoining everyone to say his tagline, “Kayang-kaya kung Sama-sama.”
