A total of 2,954 beneficiaries from low-income families and various community sectors in the Municipality of Villasis received 20 kilograms of rice each through the Rice Subsidy Distribution Program of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan under BBM (Bawat Bayan Makikinabang) project of the President.
The beneficiaries included Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), BSPO members, Child Development Workers, OFW Association members, Lupon members, Civilian Volunteer Organizations (CVOs), Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Senior Citizens, Solo Parents, Laborers, and Faith Based Groups. The distribution was conducted at the Villasis Palay Drying Facilities and Warehouse in Barangay Unzad.
The activity was attended by municipal officials headed by Mayor Dita Abrenica, Vice Mayor Cheryll Tan and other members of the Sangguniang Bayan, former Mayor Nato; Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer , Annabelle Roque; Haidee Suyat, MSWDO Caretaker.
The Rice Subsidy Distribution Program reflects the Provincial Government of Pangasinan's continued commitment to providing food assistance and supporting the welfare of vulnerable sectors in the community.
