A total of 2,954 beneficiaries from low-income families and various community sectors in the Municipality of Villasis each received 20 kilograms of rice through the Rice Subsidy Distribution Program of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan under the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang (BBM) Project of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday, September 11, 2026.
This marks the second distribution under the program, bringing the total rice assistance received by each beneficiary to 40 kilograms.
The beneficiaries included Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs), Child Development Workers, OFW Association members, Lupon members, Civilian Volunteer Organizations (CVOs), Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Senior Citizens, Solo Parents, laborers, and members of faith-based groups.
The rice distribution was held at the Villasis Palay Drying Facilities and Warehouse in Barangay Unzad, with the rice subsequently distributed to beneficiaries in their respective barangays.
The program reflects the continued commitment of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan to providing food assistance and extending support to low-income families and vulnerable sectors in the community.
