Every Individual Gets to Hope and Triumph.

This is the meaning of the community based project entitled Project EIGHT launched on May 29 and May 30, 2018 at Lomboy Elementary School (25 pupils), Caramutan Elementary School (20 pupils) and 6 pupils from Poblacion Zone I, respectively.

This project aims to: Empower by giving motivational and informative lectures to the familes/parents of the recipients; Inspire by giving and sharing inspirational stories to the familes/parents of the recipients; Give back by supporting the educational system of Villasis by providing school supplies and footwear (slippers) to the selected pupils; Help by encouraging and engaging the community to help pupils and their families who are in need; and Triumph in making every individual successful and in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), specifically SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals and AmBisyon Natin 2040, which includes Education Services as one of its priority sectors.

This project was conceptualized and implemented by a group of eight (8) friends who believe that they can help the youth even in this simple way of giving school supplies and slippers to needy pupils. Their project logo bears their initials and they are: Jennilee T. Abrenica, Alfredo C. Cababat, Jr., Irma U. Danao, Aiza Camille V. Manugue, Antonette C. Ordoñez, Sadick O. Salazar, Mariecar R. Santos, and Christian D. Torralba. All of them hail from Villasis except for Mr. Cababat who is from Tarlac but all of them are alumni of DRECMNHS, Villasis. The snacks for the two-day activity were sponsored by Brgy. Kgd. & Mrs. Roger A. Ordoño of Lomboy and Mr. & Mrs. Hector P. Tan.

Present during the gift giving at Lomboy Elementary School were P/B Rodrigo F. Ordoño, the faculty and staff of Lomboy Elementary School headed by Mrs. Nenita A. Cenizan, and the parents and selected pupils. At Caramutan Elementary School, the school supplies and slippers were received by the parents and teachers headed by Mr. Angel Mones, School Principal IV. Also present during the two-day event were the SHS teachers of DRECMNHS – Mr. Jan Darell C. Casuncad, Mr. Eddie G. Barrozo, Jr., Ms. Lourdes C. Pepi & Ms. Erica B. Evangelista. The proponents and teachers also acknowledge and are always grateful to the School Principal IV of DRECMNHS, Dr. Rowena Lea G. Moreno and the OIC-SHS Asst. Project EIGHT will continue to give donations to needy pupils and the group is also encouraging other stakeholders who would want to share their blessings to our town mates.
