In observance with the National Disaster Resilience Month, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) headed by the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, Martin James Kenneth Sison, conducted a tree-planting activity along the Agno River Dike at Brgy. Lipay on July 20, 2017 at 7:30 AM.
The said activity was participated by Mayor Nato and the Municipal Department Heads and employees, the Sangguniang Bayan Members headed by Municipal Vice Mayor Jesus Franco Sison, Jr., PNP Personnel, BFP Officers, DRECMNHS teachers, SSG Officers, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts headed by their Principal, Dr. Rowena Moreno, District I School Heads headed by their District Supervisor, Dr. Jocelyn Mina, District II School Heads headed by their District Supervisor. Dr. Belen Bautista, Villa “3800” Base, DELTACOM Philippines Officers, Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Inc. volunteers, Municipal Solid Waste Action Team and the Barangay Council of Lipay headed by their Punong Barangay Leni Sembran.
Tree-planting is just one of many activities promoting the rehabilitation of our forestry and protection of environment and ecosystem. Meanwhile, townspeople should expect for more activities promoting a disaster resilient community.
