VILLASIS EARNS 9TH STRAIGHT UNMODIFIED OPINION FROM COA
The Local Government Unit (LGU) Villasis under the leadership of Mayor Nonato S. Abrenica has earned its 9th consecutive Unmodified Opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA), reaffirming its commitment to excellence in financial management, sound governance practices, and consistent compliance with accounting and auditing standards, officials announced Tuesday, July 1.
According to COA, an unmodified opinion is issued when the auditor concludes that the financial statements are presented fairly, in all material respects, and in accordance with applicable financial reporting frameworks.
The Municipal Government of Villasis extends its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Marlene Francisco, Department Head of the Municipal Accounting Office, and her dedicated team for their hard work and commitment in preparing and submitting all required documents on time — a key factor in the municipality’s receipt of an Unmodified Opinion from the Commission on Audit for FY 2024.
This remarkable achievement underscores the consistent efforts of the municipal government in upholding good governance practices, efficient public service delivery, and responsible fiscal stewardship. It is a testament to the dedication of the municipal officials, department heads, and employees who work tirelessly to ensure that every peso is spent with integrity and purpose.
The Municipal Government of Villasis remains committed to continuing this legacy of excellence for the benefit of its people.
