In commemoration of the 217th founding anniversary of Villasis, Pangasinan, and with the idea of Councilor Chrisanto Asenafe G. Balila, the Sangguniang Bayan Office, Tourism Office, and Municipal Library collaborated to organize a special event under the theme, “Villasis: Noon at Ngayon,” showcasing the vibrant history and progress of Villasis over the years. The celebration featured two exciting contests: Spoken Word Poetry and On-the-Spot Stone Art Painting.
The Spoken Word Poetry contest showcased the talents of 11 high school students from both public and private schools in the municipality. Each presented their own unique artistic style in delivering original compositions. Meanwhile, the On-the-Spot Stone Art Painting Contest, featuring two categories, saw participation from 7 individuals in the Professional/Experienced category and 51 in the student category.
