Villasis Municipal Library conducted a 3-day Basic Computer Literacy and Skills Training for Barangay Health Workers. There were 16 Barangay Health Workers who have successfully completed the training. The activity covered lessons on Basic Computer Operations, Parts of Computer, most commonly used keyboard shortcuts and introduction of Microsoft applications like Word and Excel.

Right after the discussions, the participants were given activities to perform. The participants showed interest and willingness to learn and apply what they have learned. They were able to follow instructions correctly as shown in their printed outputs. Awarding of certificates followed after the training. Some participants were given the chance to share their experience and learnings during the training. Mrs. Jovita Lozano, Barangay Health Worker of Lipay said, “Sa edadnatingito, puwede pa palatayongmatuto. Napapadali at masmagandaangmagagawanating report gamitang computer”.Another participant, Mrs. Gloria C. Laplana of Brgy. Bacag said, “I am thankful because we were given the chance to participate in this kind of training. If you noticed, I was silent the whole period of training because I realized nanoongnasa collegeako kung nag-aralakongmabuti, nalamankonasanalahatngpinag-aralannatinngayon. I tried to absorb lahatngtinuturo para hindikomakalimutan at mai-apply kosamga paper works natin. Kaya I am very much grateful for this opportunity”. 

All the participants were very much thankful for the opportunity for they can now do their paper works with ease and submit presentable reports.
