PNP Villasis in coordination with the local government unit of Villasis conducted “Salaam Police Volunteer Training and Seminar” on March 13, 2018 at Villasis Public Auditorium.
The activity aims to show the Muslim and Christian Community unite in fight against criminality and to serve as an additional force multipliers. A total of 177 participants from Villasis Muslim Community and Elders, Guardian’s Grace, CVOs and BPATS attended the seminar.
Speakers from different sectors were also invited to give lecture; Atty. Rene Mairina lectured on Responsible Gun Ownership and Penalties. Dr. Gloria Liberato, Municipal Health Office, tackled about Drug Identification and its behavioural effects. SPO3 Fredilyn Zamora lectured on the Laws for Women and Children (RA 7610, RA 9263 and GAD Concept). Mr. Ricvonzar Mina, a representative from MDRRMO, lectured on disaster management and safety measures. There’s also an open-forum after the lecture.
During the seminar, Mayor Nato commended all the efforts PCI Brendon Palisoc and PNP Villasis in maintaining the municipality as safe as it can be. As he always say “Kung walang tulungan, walang mangyayari. Hindi uunlad an gating bayan kung walang kapayapaan”. He also invited the participants to visit the newly-opened Villasis Resort cum Evacuation Center.
